An example is counting the number of different people coming to our website or using a particular feature. Without this cookie, if you visited the website once each week for three weeks we would count you as three separate users. Analytic cookies we use are provided by Bravenet & Google who have their own stringent privacy policies.

Terms & Conditions of Sale

• Relating to Mayastar Academy: Fees are non-refundable in the event that you do not complete your chosen course. Once course materials are issued, should you change your mind or fail to complete the course for any reason the fee is not refundable.

• Relating to Maya Magickal: Fees are non-refundable in the event that you choose not to have a magickal working completed after purchase as preliminary work carried out before any templework requires time and incurs expense.

• Relating to Maya Magickal: Cancellation of a magickal working within 48 hours of the scheduled time will incur an administration fee of £20; and a further £20 for rescheduling. You will be billed £40 through PayPal in this event before the cancelled working goes ahead.

• Relating to Mayastar Academy: Course materials are issued in pdf format by email within 24 hours of purchase.

• Relating to Mayastar Academy: All student support is via email and all attunements are distance attunements prepared in advance using the Chi Ball/Orb of Life method.  Fixed time/scheduled attunements are available on request but incur an additional £20 fee for the administration of accommodating these.

• Relating to Mayastar Academy: Cancellation and rescheduling of a 'real time' attunement incurs additional administration fees: £20 is charged for the additional administrative work and an additional £20 for the time of the attunement.

Personalised Course Packages

• Should you default on an arrangement for a personalised package, you will be restricted in the option being made available in future. An arrangement/contract for a personalised package is made when you send in an order for one and are invoiced by me. The order is legally binding.

• If you default on a payment arrangement, the offer of personalised packages and the discounts they incur would be withdrawn for future.

• Additionally, if you default on a payment arrangement that is being paid in instalments, the total balance will become due for immediate payment in full (applied discounts as part of a personalised contract apply only if you pay the agreed amount within the agreed time). If you do not pay your agreed monthly instalment within 7 days, an additional £40 late payment fee is applied per month. If no payment is received in any given month a fee of £100 is applied.

• Failure to pay the agreed amount, an additional payment of £40 per month is applied for underpayment.

• Payments are due within 7 days of the scheduled payment date each month. Again, should you default on a payment contract, the offer with be withdrawn for future and the balance will become due for immediate payment in full; any discounts will be revoked.

• Monthly payment plans are available at my discretion only. And where agreed include and additional fee of £10 per month for administration.

• In circumstances where an outstanding balance has been outstanding for 6 months or more, fees of £100 are applied each month until the balance is clear or until it is passed to a third party for collection. If a balance has been outstanding for 12 months or more, fees of £150 are applied each month until the balance is clear or until it is passed to a third party for collection. If a balance has been outstanding for 18 months or more, fees of £200 are applied each month until the balance is clear or until it is passed to a third party for collection.

• If promises to pay and ongoing problems with receiving payments are incurred, the debt will be sold to a 3rd party for collection. As this incurs fees, a 40% addition of the outstanding balance will be added to cover 3rd party fees for collection and consultation.

Accreditation

• Relating to Mayastar Academy: Mayastar and Maya (Anna May) are accredited; this accreditation extends to the course materials provided that are independently assessed for quality and assures the student my own credentials and written materials have been assessed too. This means certification issued is accredited as every Mayastar course is accredited. However, this accreditation applies to Mayastar and Maya (Anna May), so if you wish to teach and be accredited by the INHA, WMA or any other organisation, you would need to apply for this accreditation independently; Mayastar certification qualifies a person to attune others but it does not bequeath accreditation on behalf of another organisation.

• Mayastar Group reserves the right to refuse to accept a student or client according to our discretion and without explanation. Inappropriate email contact (including persistent emailing, provocative or nuisance communications; unreasonable requests/inquiries; inquiries that are beyond the extent of the services and tuition provided), harassment, threats or other unacceptable behaviours will automatically lead to withdrawal of support and the retraction of the option to make purchases. PLEASE NOTE: In the case of such inappropriate or disruptive conduct, communications may be terminated by Maya without notice or explanation. If you are a client or student, your fees may be forfeited in this circumstance.  A level of mannerly, appropriate behaviour, courtesy & civilised conduct is requisite of all students, clients & inquirers. 
   

Authorisation by us to link to our websites is given without assumption of any liability by us relating to such links, and we hereby disclaim any such liability. We reserve the right to withdraw any authorisation to link to our websites at any time and for any reason.
 

Anyone providing access to, or information relating to Mayastar Academy whether by link or otherwise, is responsible for bringing these terms of use to the attention of the person receiving such access or information. Failure to do so will not result in liability for us.

 

No Warranties
Mayastar Academy makes no representations or warranties with respect to the contents of its websites, courses or communications, which are provided for use "as is”. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of title, competence, capability, quality and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to all Mayastar publications, courses, websites and communications of all types. We also make no representations or warranties as to whether the information accessible via our website or any website with which it is linked, is accurate, complete, or current. You accept that Mayastar Academy, Mayastar Academy students and Mayastar Academy graduates other Mayastar Academy representatives shall have the benefit of this clause.

It is your responsibility to evaluate (or take professional advice on) the accuracy and completeness of all information, statements, opinions and other material on the Mayastar Academy website, its course materials, publications and all communications. It is your responsibility to evaluate (or take professional advice on) the accuracy and completeness of all information, statements, opinions and other material access on or via any website with which the Mayastar Academy website is linked.

Your statutory rights as a consumer, if any, are not affected by these provisions, and we do not seek to exclude or limit liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.
 

Exclusion of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws we exclude liability for any losses and expenses of whatever nature and howsoever arising including, without limitation, any direct, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, loss of use, loss of data, loss caused by a virus, loss of income or profit, loss of or damage to property, claims of third parties, or other losses of any kind or character, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages or losses, arising out of or in connection with the use of our websites or any websites with which they are linked. Visitors to our websites assume total responsibility for establishing such procedures for data back up and virus checking as they consider necessary.

 

Modification and Discontinuation
We reserve the right at any time and from time to time to modify, edit, delete, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently the websites of Mayastar Academy (or any portion thereof) and/or the information, materials, products and/or services available through these websites (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any such modification, editing, deletion, suspension or discontinuance of our websites. Modification to the terms of use may also be subject to modification over time.

 

Entire Understanding
These terms of use contain the entire understanding between you and us with respect to all communication and services of Mayastar Academy included but not limited to, websites, emails, course materials, articles, manuals and leaflets. No representation, statement, inducement (oral or written), not contained herein shall exempt any party from the terms of use here specified. Should any part of these terms for any reason be declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such determination shall not affect the validity of any remaining portion of these terms of use and such remaining portion shall remain in full force and effect as if the invalid portion of these terms had been eliminated.
 

Collection of Personal Data Including E-mail Addresses
Student and membership records are held by Mayastar Academy. For the purposes of requests to validate graduation by third parties, in the circumstance that a third party is able to provide us with the student's name or student reference, qualification conferred and the date of this achievement, we will provide confirm or deny as applicable the validity of the asserted qualification.
 

Use of Personal Data
We process your personal data only for specific and limited purposes. We ask only for data that is adequate, relevant and not excessive for those purposes.

We may contact you occasionally to inform you of new services we will be providing, or events or articles we think will be of interest to you.

We may send you requested information, certificates and course related material.

We may use your personal data internally to help us improve our services and to help resolve any problems.

 

Disclosure of your Personal Data
We do not share, sell or distribute your personal data with unrelated third parties, except under these limited circumstances:

We may share or transfer the information in our databases to comply with a legal requirement, for the administration of justice, to protect your vital interests, to protect the security or integrity of our databases, organisation or websites, to take precautions against legal liability, or in the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganisation, dissolution or similar event.

Where appropriate, before disclosing personal data to a third party, we contractually require the third party to take adequate precautions to protect that data and maintain confidentiality.

In the event of non payment of monies owed and a debt being passed to a 3rd party for collection, copies of your records as appropriate will be passed on.

Copies of email contact may also be passed on to PayPal at their request.

Copies of email contact may also be provided to the Police in cases of harassment.

Mayastar Academy strive to maintain the reliability, accuracy, completeness and currency of personal data in our databases and to protect the privacy and security of our databases. We keep your personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with any applicable legal or ethical reporting or document retention requirements.

We endeavour to handle such data properly and in accordance with our security protocols and strict standards of confidentiality. Although we cannot guarantee against any loss, misuse, unauthorised disclosure, alteration or destruction of data, we try to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
